Sharing Temporary Admin Access

Putting on a meet requires a lot of volunteers. With the RaceApp system, you can grant temporary (limited) admin access to any volunteer, right from your phone during the meet without having to manage accounts or passwords.

Temporary admins are granted access per meet.

  • Access is for one meet only. Guest admins cannot edit other meets.
  • You can configure how long the access will last, up to 48 hours. We recommend you do not grant access that will last longer than when you expect your meet to be over.
  • The same auto-login URL and QR code is used for all volunteers to your meet and can be re-used as many times as needed until it expires, so please guard it carefully.
  • Guest admins can:
    • Add and edit races/heats/flights
    • Enter results
    • Export meet results
    • Auto calculate scores
  • Guest admins cannot:
    • Edit meet details
    • Create or edit other meets
    • Add or remove events to a meet
    • Remove races/heats/flights
    • Edit your roster or temporary athletes

 

To grant access:

  • Login as the account owner and navigate to your meet.
  • Click the link for Share Admin Access.
  • Select the number of hours to grant access.
  • Click Generate Guest Login URL.
  • Share the link with your volunteers however works best for you:
    • Have them scan the QR code right off your phone during the meet
    • Click the Send via SMS button. It will open your SMS app with the link already populated.
    • Click the Send via Email button. It will open your email app with a message already populated.
