Here’s where the fun really begins! (note sarcasm)

Any coach or parent who has prepared results for Athletic.net knows how tedious and error-prone it can be. This was the inspiration for RaceApp. A process that used to take us hours of manually transposing hand written names and times into a spreadsheet now takes only a few minutes when we get home from a meet.

Once a meet has been recorded and scored, it’s a single click to generate the CSV already formatted in to Athletic.net’s specifications.

For best results:

  • Review all event results in RaceApp and make corrections as needed.
    • Move athletes around to ensure each event has all the unique results only for one division.
      • Combine all heats into a single race.
      • Split any combined events multiple ones per by division. For example if a distance race ran all divisions at once, or if you recorded a jump event as an open pit with all groups combined.
  • Use the auto-scoring feature or ensure at lease a ‘place’ is set for each finisher. We definitely recommend using the auto-score feature.
    • The place column is required to be set for Athletic.net to fully accept the uploaded result.
    • You may also manually edit the places in the CSV files before uploading but we recommend against this since your spreadsheet app can inadvertently change the fields. If you do manually edit it, we recommend using a text-only editor and not a spreadsheet app (Excel or Numbers).
  • When you are ready to export, navigate to the meet’s top page, scroll to the bottom and click Export to Athletic.net
  • Follow Athletic.net’s instructions to upload your file.

That’s it!
